The mountain kills its poets, and the mountain maddens bards:
the chair of the giant who slumbers here—it furiously guards
whatever secrets gifted once to those with fae regards.
Turn away, O would-be poet! Turn away, O hopeful bard!
You’re worth more living than inspired, more than Annwn’s discards.

Her name was Tesni, bright, warm, strong. Listener, take heed: )

sleeping beauty

A legend grew around the house
walled in by vine and thorn.
A beauty slept there endlessly;
she would wake on the morn
of true love's kiss.
The one who woke her, story went,
would break the faerie curse
placed on her at her christening—
how could that be worse,
how not be bliss?
In truth, Anara spun the spell
herself, till fingers bled,
to keep her sleeping till no man
would say she must be wed.
What would she miss?

to lose one shoe
knowing that
your eye she drew.
Away she flew )
