I am not a starving artist; that's because I have a day job. I would, however, like to be a little less starving and a little more artist.
Writing commissions and editing services are currently CLOSED.
Writing Commissions
Here's how this works: You email me (at alexconall at gmail) with a prompt with parameters: for example, "shall I pay the needed toll, just the purchase of a soul, starring a genderqueer person with asthma". Then you Paypal me (at alexconall at gmail) or GoFundMe $0.04/word (rounded down to the nearest dollar: a ten-dollar commission means I will write a story of between 250 and 275 words), which is about what I'd get selling the story to a market that pays semi-professional per-word rates. Please note in the comments to the Paypal or GoFundMe transaction that the money is for a writing commission for the email address you are sending the email from. Then I'll write you that story.
I am most comfortable with fantasy, though I'll take a crack at any genre, and I prefer to write characters who are marginalized in some way (such as being female, of color, queer, with disabilities...).

Here's how this works: You email me (at alexconall at gmail) with a brief summary of what you want me to edit, attaching the document to be edited in some fashion compatible with Microsoft Office or Google Drive. Then you Paypal me (at alexconall at gmail) or GoFundMe $0.005/word (rounded down to the nearest dollar: a ten-dollar fee means I will edit a story of between 2000 and 2200 words). Please note in the comments to the Paypal or GoFundMe transaction that the money is for editing services for the email address you are sending the email from. Then I'll edit that story.
I am very good at spotting timeline and internal consistency problems within a story. I am excellent at spelling, punctuation, and grammar editing.
Tarot Readings
Here's how this works: You email me (at alexconall at gmail) with a request for a tarot reading. A three-card past-present-future draw is $3 and a ten-card Celtic Cross reading is $10. Then you Paypal me (at alexconall at gmail) or GoFundMe the appropriate sum. Please note in the comments to the Paypal or GoFundMe transaction that the money is for a tarot reading. Then I'll draw the cards and tell you what I see. This is of course for entertainment purposes only.
